I've been so busy with wholesale and am so proud of this order. I got it done in record time, 4 days! It's off to my stockist The Oddfish in Beirut. It was a really tight deadline but I worked really hard on it and am ready to start another wholesale order to Germany.
I love wholesale orders and now they make up more than half of my yearly revenue. It is such an exciting thought that these stockist believe in your product so much that they place such large orders to sell in their shops. It's like they really believe in you and your product and that feeling is amazing!

Boo and Boo Factory in the Chicago Tribune!
I'm so excited to see my interview with the Chicago Tribune in the paper today! It's a story about successful Chicago Etsy sellers and the upcoming Etsy IPO. And my wallets are on the front page of the paper as well as in the Business Section.
When the photographer came over I was so nervous! I mean it's not everyday that a photographer from the Tribune comes to your home. But he was excellent and I love the pictures. See for yourself below.
When I went out this morning to get the paper, I showed everyone at the store the article!

Handmade Leather Wallet Card Holders with Colorful Abstract Art Paintings
I finally received my shipment of leather especially for these little pouch wallets. The leather has a smoother grain so it is easier to paint and is much thicker for a sturdier hold. I really played around with painting the patterns and even did some that are a bit out of my comfort zone with more abstract primitive shapes. I love how they're coming along and will be posting them in the shop as soon as they're finished!

Marbling Technique - A Sneak Peek at the New Handmade Leather Bag Spring Line!
I am always trying to learn new techniques to help keep my jewelry and accessories fresh and exciting! Here's a sneak peek at a new line of leather wallets and bags that I'm working on for Spring using a suspension printing technique. The designs are more ephemeral with colorful swirls of color and various patterns. I'm still working out the kinks, but I hope to release some more pictures soon as I get closer to finalizing the collection.
