Marbling Technique - A Sneak Peek at the New Handmade Leather Bag Spring Line!

I am always trying to learn new techniques to help keep my jewelry and accessories fresh and exciting!  Here's a sneak peek at a new line of leather wallets and bags that I'm working on for Spring using a suspension printing technique.  The designs are more ephemeral with colorful swirls of color and various patterns. I'm still working out the kinks, but I hope to release some more pictures soon as I get closer to finalizing the collection.

Colorful Geometric Leather Headbands and Hair Accessories Coming Soon!

New year, new ideas! I've been getting several requests to start making hair accessories again.  I made them when I first started Boo and Boo Factory and decided to bring them back! Here is a sneak peek of some colorful hand cut leather circle headbands and geometric hexagon and feather hair clips.  I'll be posting them in the shop tomorrow once I've finished them tonight.

Boo and Boo Factory Business Cards and Jewelry Update

I just received my brand new business cards and I love how they came out!  The design is a colorful collage of my geometric statement and leather bib necklaces with bright tassels, pattern and texture.  I cannot wait to send them out with orders and hand them out. They're so colorful and fun just like my jewelry! And the best part is that they match my new website BooandBooFactory.com

I am finishing up a large wholesale order of colorful jewelry and I have had so much fun creating these special pieces.  The designs are original from when I started Boo and Boo Factory 3 years ago.  I'm really enjoying bringing back some of these older designs.  The contrast of my previous designs in combination with my new work is a fun way to see how my designs have progressed over the years.

Inspiration for Leather Jewelry

I was really lucky to receive a giant box of leather from a kind neighbor.  The box is filled with amazing leather pieces that I am so excited to turn into leather jewelry.  Sometimes the best inspiration is through the materials themselves.  The colors are perfect for the fall season and I'm thinking of creating big and chunky leather tassel statement necklaces and bold fringe earrings in deeper autumn toned colors.

Geometric Jewelry! Handmade Colorful Leather Adjustable Rings

Today I made a few adorable color block adjustable rings.  I really like that they are lightweight, easy to wear and go with any everyday outfit.  A great pop of color to brighten your day!  See them here if you'd like to stop by the shop.

Leather Jewelry in Progress

It's no coincidence that I've been posting more about works in progress of my leather jewelry than the finished product.  I am always really interested to see things in an incomplete state where ideas are flowing and the final form is still being conceived.  I'm also finding that in interacting with potential buyers or people interested in my work, I'm receiving more of a positive response due to the interactive nature of progress shots.  I really enjoy the making process and will be photographing it more often, as the process, in my opinion, is as significant as the finished product. Long story short, enjoy the mess on my desk that will become jewelry!

Handmade Statement Necklaces

I've been working on some new pieces in the shop.  It seems there is never enough time in the day when you own your business.  I could spend almost all day just photographing and editing.  Add marketing, blogging, designing, hand making the pieces, packaging and shipping and the day is already over.  As much work as it is I love it and I couldn't see myself doing anything else.
