Handmade Jewelry in the Making - Mint Tassel Statement Necklace with Silver Spikes

Hope your having a great weekend! I'm working on packaging up a large wholesale order and working on some new designs.  I really love my hand painted ombre tassel necklace, so I made another one in a mint ombre gradient pattern with silver chain and hardware.  More new work to come!

My desk is looking a bit messy but to me everything makes sense.

I love how this mint tassel necklace came out!

Handmade Jewelry - Neon Leather Statement Necklaces

I've been getting ready for the summer season creating bold neon leather statement necklaces in a variety of different colors.  The necklaces feature different materials such as goose feathers, Italian leather hides, wood beads and even my new holographic leather.  It may seem that this Chicago winter may never end.  However, inside my studio is filled with bright blinding color to get me through.

Handmade Geometric Leather Fashion Jewelry On Its Way to Australia!

I just finished a large wholesale order on its way to Australia!  The order has some of my favorite leather and feather statement necklaces, geometric brass and wood bib necklaces and colorful leather earrings.  I have another large order I'm working on and I'm trying to finish it before the holiday rush hits.

In preparation of the rush, I will be stocking as many ready to ship items as possible to lighten the load.  Last year my shop was mostly made to order items and when they started to pile up I was inundated.  But what I've learned from the previous years has made rush periods easier.  That's the beautiful thing about having your own business, that you never stop learning or growing.  Everyday is a new lesson.

I'll be updating in the next few days with what I'm working on and progress on one of my largest wholesale orders to date.

Pop Art Textile Jewelry, Patterned Leather Statement Necklace

Here's a sneak peek of a new series I'm working on influence by pop art.  It combines multiple techniques, various textures and patterns and a modern composition all in one necklace.  I'm working on matching leather earrings and bracelets.  This is my more artsy side.

Hand Painted Geometric Triangle Necklace

I am working on a few exciting wholesale orders at the moment.  This batch of hand cut triangle leather necklaces are like looking into a kaleidoscope of color.  I could not resist photographing all 10 necklaces together. My desk, hands, clothes and even my hair are covered in paint!

I really enjoy painting and love that I can incorporate it into my leather jewelry.  Since I've introduced my hand painted designs to my geometric jewelry, I have received positive feedback from other buyers and sellers and I couldn't be happier!  My signature geometric forms, mostly faceted with hard edges, combined with the hand painted element, which is softer and has no defined border or edge, creates a unique contrast.  Both elements, whilst opposite, work together in balance to create a three dimensional illusion that makes the jewelry really stand out.

Here's what was sent out today.  I love photographing several orders together so I can see what the jewelry looks like together.  I am so excited to create all of these colorful handmade jewelry designs for people all around the world!

Hand Painted Leather Jewelry

Yikes!  I have been gone for a while.  I made it a goal to give my Facebook attention and I forgot about posting on here!  Anyways, lots of new things are in the mix, including many new designs and techniques.  I have been working on several wholesale orders and selling on many other venues other than Etsy but have still found the time to create some new pieces. I love painting so I am so excited that I can now incorporate it into my leather jewelry.  Enjoy the kaleidoscope of color and geometry!
